Seriously though, I've had UBECs fail with one of the main caps going short circuit but I can't remember a servo ever failing under...

Maybe I need to run 2 x UBEC's with Diodes with one UBEC connected to the main battery and the other to a spare battery, they'll use the higher voltage source and have full redundancy.

I did mean U-BEC, what if that packs up...

I have aux battery for RVOSD (great) but there is no redundency for the servos and without them there is no gliding home.

Has anyone linked the 5v camera/TX rail tothe servo rail to power a couple of servos and a receiver? I have no BEC on this plane and see no point in adding one when I'm running a 12v DC-to-DC...

I think that the majority of customers are spread across the world so taking the time zones in to account, the traffic should be quite spread out.

You need it if you are flying long range using a PC and monitor out of one fixed location and are using HK's Ground Station for waypoint navigation etc..
