HF_ATL; do you have any posted Videos of your flights where we can see your airspeed setup in action. Could you send some picture of your setup? Maybe we can get some ideas what to change in our (non...
2xYes; I am using bare sensor and I installed decoupling capacitors/output filltering as instructed in the sensor manual.
I have GoPro Hero2 on my DG1000e (see other threath) - And it works great without removing resistor.
I am building new Skywalker I will mount Airspeed sensor as close as posiblle to OSD board- maybe a 1 cm above the board with some heat isolation foam in between. What do you think?
I remember one...
Alex, what to do with Airspeed sensor? As it is now it's useless.
In regards OSD climb rate reading - I've checked my other Videos and climb rate is showing the same mistake in both - constant...
Airspeed sensor on Dg1000 is mounted in the tail, so there is a meter long cable... But, in Twinstar the cable is only 10 cm long and the results (difference from the GPS speed) is pretty equal in...
Alex thanks, new firmware will solve AHI issue.
What about the other two, climb rate and especially Airspeed sensor?
Hi there,
My FPV DG1000e has now more than 100 flights behind it; I am still flying without Autopilot enabled in “safe” visual range – visual takeoffs (did several FPV takeoffs)/landings and FPV...
There is a potential good suggestion on RCG forum about potential solution - firmware update:

Hi Frank,
it's the same thing we've discussed in thread I raised some weeks ago... :

In my case...
My FPV testing airplane, modified TwinStar, »passed away« after another stall flying in FBW mode. On the latest addition, I installed on it also Airspeed sensor – I have mixed experienced with it;...
"The plane is auto-stable in pitch and will self correct for gusts given there is time to do so."
I know the flying behaviour of mine (heavy loaded..) Twinstar well, it is trimed to be auto-stable...
It was a clear stall; we had aprox. 20km/h of East gusty wind and was blowing direct from the back during my stalling.
That's why I am saying that fast responsive pitot airspeed sensor indicated...
"Any plane will stall if you don't keep an eye on the speed. This is true with or without OSD"
That's for sure..., but highly responsive true airspeed indicator is needed; if you look the speed in...
Thx;
What parameter you have set in your plane (Stabilization pitch gain and Max pitch angle)? What exactly parameter from "Stabilization pitch gain" is doing in FBW/AP mode (it's clear to me what...
How you do this Alex? Guessing - most likely during "R/C wizard" set up; On "pull maximal elevator" you not give max. elevator, just amount you know it won't stall the plan. Correct?
I almost crash...
Hi Cadders, thanks for the info; I am using similar setup but can not get that sharp picture - maybe is the Archos 500 who's recorded that good.
True airspeed seems to work great, I wont't it!; ...

I've been flying my 5m DG 1000 for three years now (Air towing) and decided to built a new FPV fuselage: Hacker C13 engine, 10S, Dual Cam - Hero 2 in cocpit, 550 lines Sony on top of vertical...
One question more Cadders; what is the number parameter right from original HUD speed meter? Is it true airspeed comming from airspeed sensor?
Cadders, this is the best OSD video I've seen (sharpness, solor, contrast)!
Tell please more about the setup you are using and especially what recording device you used in this case.
Thx!
Another +1 for the Airspeed sensor..
+1!! My next FPV project (5m DG 1000) have 10S, 20x13 prop, 1500W engine in the nose... Will go maiden next week (no RTH eable yet).
Hi,
what is the number parameter on this video http://vimeo.com/23705882# - located right from the HUD speed indicator, it'dissapear after 1:05 of flight (changing from 3 to -67)?
